The guys at TVR work bloody hard

Just give them a break. If your happy let people know. It would make a nice change.

After reading all the If TVR goes bust comments (feckin waste of time IMVHO), i finally got down to page 5 and read gaffers comments quoted in part above.
So how how about it are you happy? if so post a response as to why, otherwise PW may think stuff the lot of us and flog TVR to some multinational !!

Yeap, I am happy.

The car is super fast, and its been no more expensive (accept for fuel) or prone to problems to any of the other cars I have had (VW Scriocco, GM Astra mk1 and Daewoo Nexia).

I actually named my first TVR 3000M to "TyVaRr". That is Swedish for "unfortunately". But that has not stopped me from loving the marque, its characteristics and style, or buying three more...

We're happy. Every time I fire up our Chimaera that rumble just makes me smile.

I reckon that under the TVR factory they have some sort of mine. Every day strange little TVR Elves dig up some sort of weird mineral "joy". A little bit of it gets sprinkled on each car as it leaves the factory.

Is there any other explanation for how a ton of metal and plastic can engender such fierce emotions in their owners?

The first few weeks of driving around in our (then) brand new Chim you couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces.

Happy ? - No

I am.... words can't describe it !... It's like being in love !

TVR's (new/old, who cares, but my favourite is the Cerbera) are a rare beast & British to the bone.

On my second TVR, Cerbera, and I am absolutely delighted with it. No problems (and it's a S6), it's an amazing, unique marque, and turns more heads than a Wonderbra billboard. Keep up the good work TVR!

I'm Happy.

Took me 14 years of dreaming and saving to get mine, and it's worth every minute/penny

Dan, like you it was a dream. How many people in this world bow out without ever realising their dream? (Rhetorical, non-philosophy retort).

I refer, happily, to my previous answer...

I love my Tamora, 'cos it's loud, fast, rare, fast, loud, scary, grippy, soft top, fantastic. I love it, love it, love it!!! Yeeeehaaaaaaa!!!

TVRs are fantastic. If logic and economics ruled the world we'd all have Porsches, or worse, BMWs, or worse still, Fords.

The world would be a duller place without TVRs, and others like them. Why are people so flippin' negative?

Counting the days till I get mine ...

It's difficult to sum up

quote:

After reading all the If TVR goes bust comments (feckin waste of time IMVHO)

Strangely, what came to mind was two quotes:

"What's with all those negative waves, Moriarty?"

AND

"Woof, Woof (that's my other dog impression)"

We're all so the cars suit us just as they are, thank you!!

I think my TVR is fecking great...

i've had it three years now and even though it let me down on tuesday ( water pump gasket) i still think its great... ( that and a wiper motor is the only probs i've had)

i use her as my main car it lives outside and everytime i get in it i smile...

its cost me a fortune mainly in mods rather than anything else but i love it...

I think PW does a grand job ' Sod everyone else i'll build what i like' is the attitude to build great no compromise cars which is exactly what they do..

There is no other manufacturer quite like TVR.

The whole character of both the cars, and the company would never survive even the remotest interferance from the stuffy-suited-annualgeneralmeetingminded-finalsalarypensioned gimps that any takeover by a big industry name might involve. Long may they stay independant, and long may they actually build cars that look better than most other manufacturers concept cars.

On to my second Griff now, and I can quite honestly say, I'd never want to be without a TVR.

Its the most brilliant marque i have owned..more heads turned as well each drive being an occasion. Always wanted a tvr cerbera and its "dreams come true land". Not many cars do that..rest of them are "the rest".

Our Tuscan is our dream car and in common with many owners we've sweated blood to get her. That's why our car is so important to me, she stands for years of ruddy hard graft and doing without stuff. TVR are the only sportscar manufacturer to make affordable "dreams" for folk like me - long may Peter Wheeler reign supreme in making his fabulous machinery.
There are some great cars in the world but IMHO none come close to TVRs for sheer presence - especially with the engine running - the cars have a personality all of their own! That's why I luv 'em!! And why, sad muppet that I am, I bought a season ticket for Knockhill just so the car didn't have to stay at the bottom of the hill on raceday next week! There really is no hope.......

Love my Chimaera to bits - not literally as I prefer her in one piece !

If you look through the threads on this site after a sunny day I would say that almost everybody posting is aying how great it is driving a TVR as opposed to a Jap or Euro box.

Keep up the good work TVR.
