£400 to buy. Does 50mpg and can run on biodiesel. MOT runs out 2nd April and it's gonna need work.
Will spend the £100 on it to get it through, then decide if it's staying or i'm getting sumthing with LPG for the daily grind.
As long as you have a "tonic" of a weekend car then they make perfect sense.

To be honest, i've not even checked but the list i can tell from driving :
Wheels are too big, needs some nice 205 Speedlines.
The balljoints or possibly top mounts are shot to s
t, vibration madness at anything over 55, handy for economy
Handbrake cables are new but haven't been adjusted so the handbrake barely works and needs to be half on before the rears bite.
The suspension itself is a little crashy.
I'm running it till MOT, and get them to check out exactly what's needed, i cant even be arsed to get it up and see exactly what it needs.
Taxed till end of June so i'll see what it needs and fix it then sell it.
If i get my money back after a few months driving, i'll be happy with that.
Want a nice big engined estate, with LPG, for everyday really so it's just a stop gap.

So far I'm loving it, though I've been busy today trying to replace the waterpump

I'm toying with the idea of buying either M3 Cab/135i/MKV R32 for weekends at some point after xmas and a small, hateful daily bucket to run around in.
My daily commute is only ~3 miles in total, so it really doesn't need to be any good...
Don't tell paulqv, but a Micra would be ideal...

I've been thinking the same thing tbh - but in a couple of years time.My daily commute is only ~3 miles in total, so it really doesn't need to be any good...

Ever since I got the Golf it's only made me wonder how much quicker a GTi or R32 would be ... that curiosity is now growing into a full on WANT.
Next time you're on a run and I'm there, I'll give you a quick blast in mine. It's a great car.
The R32 isn't actually that much quicker and it's a LOT less nimble than a GTI... but I need that VR6 noise (
) in my life before SUL is £10 a gallon...
We'll see; I'd prefer an M3, but I couldn't even get a price for insurance on it this year, so it might have to be the 135i/R32 instead...
...and the Micra...

Never been in a MkV GTi before, so even a passenger run would be nice! The R32 isn't actually that much quicker and it's a LOT less nimble than a GTI... but I need that VR6 noise (

Hoping to come on a run or two before the summer, and of course during it, so I'm sure we can work something out
