I was caught speeding by an unmarked Type-R and was issued the HORT1/VDRS/Caution on 8/12/2003. I was given the Verbal NIP at the roadside and shown my errant ways on the in-car entertainment system in the Honda.

Am I right in thinking if I receive nothing by 8th of this month I can consider myself a very lucky boy?

Fingers-crossed.

No.
1) Six months is 8/6/04.
2) They only have to lay the papers within 6 months. The summons and everything else can happen thereafter.
Many people receive their summonses during month 6 and the beginning of month 7.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm assuming these papers will state that they intend to prosecute. If these don't reach me by the 8th of next month, I can assume they don't intend to persue this case any further.

No. They only have to lay the papers with the court within the six months. The court don't actually have to do anything with them, just to have received them.
If you know what court it will come up at, you could call the listings dept. and ask them if there are any outstanding complaints against you on, say, the 15th.

Stopped doing, ahem, over 100 (apparently) on the 1st of November by West Mercia and given a NIP to hand in to a local police station.

Awaiting my fate seven months on, after producing my documents in a London police station a week later. Any thoughts?

You don't hand a NOIP in. A NOIP is either a verbal or written warning that you may be prosecuted for one of a number of specified offences and has to be done within 14 days of the offence. Thats it finito.

You handed in something? HO/RT/1 re production of docs? If so was DL taken off you at PS? Would be so if under 9 points and then Conditional Offer would kick in.

Have you moved abode since incident?

Too many ifs and buts to give a scenario. Lets have something under 10,000 words as to what went on and maybe we can give some comment.
