Quick question for those in the know.

Having abandonned my Lazee Boys at T9 a while back in favour of the GT3 clampers, some geezer has apparently strolled in offering said monkey.

Should I snap his hand orf or challenge him to pistols at dawn for such an insult?

I haven't got a frickin' clue.

Answers on a postcard, danker.

Hmmm...

Best not tell my missus DeR or she'll be taking them off your hands, having two suitable transformers fitted, reclad in the finest Italian black cow skin and hey presto!

Ultra contemporary "Lazy Boy" adjustable chairs for home cinema enjoyment. Wonderful!

Somehow I doubt this mod will fit in with the traditionalist furnishings that undoubtedly is the interior of Restriction House...besides, do you really think Mrs DeR would give them houseroom?

EDIT: Are you sure the geezer didn't stroll in calling you a monkey?

DeR that is not a silly offer, but is slightly at the lower end of the range.

Taking a stab in the dark that £500 will probably not change your life too much I would hang on to them.

If you sell them now and for whatever reason (access / resale) you need a set in that colour you will take forever to find them and pay more than £500.

I would cover them up and stick them in the loft in case you need them sometime.

If you are never going to sell BeetleSpurter then take the money. Otherwise keep the seats and put them back in at retail time. The buckets should secure a lot more than a monkey or be transferable into your next road weapon?

I think you would at least need a 6 point harness to secure a Monkey Daz

Check with Dave at Southbound Motor Trimmers for value and put ad in Porsche Post. I'm no expert but I reckon you could easily get £1000. Apparently the non-electric VGC 'Sport Seats' in my RS are worth £1200.

Ah bollocks, just told them to hold on and I'll stash them somewhere.

Although currently derailed from the mentallist power quest, I was looking into the 6-pot brake set-up following the awesome ones experienced in Adam's R-Turbo and my own increasing tendancy to trigger the judder-lock-judder-slide-judder-lock-judder which seems to accompany all my current B-road blatting hoons.

Seems that some kind of Brembo job is in order but feck me, that'll be 3 major brake upgrades in as many years. PH can seriously damage your wallet.

Also, Alan at T9 was espousing the benefits of further weight depletage and recommended the following: strip out the rear seats/associated parcel shelving etc, chuck the carpets, bin the air-con, ditch the boot lid for a piece of black linen and replace the door liners with RS ones and seriosuly consider ditching the elecy winders as well...

Phil reckoned the savings would only amount to modest gains but Alan protested more, in the region of 150kg which might offer useful power/weight gains: again, what's the crack here?

(And Domst - looking at either a Sport 160 Elise or maybe an R300 [but would I be better off with a second hand Jez-spec-stylee Superlight R for similar cash?])

Bothered Simian (you cheeky southern gimps).

Given your predeliction for ever increasing horsepower, I'd suggest you go for the Superlight R straight off.

If you think upgrade-itis is bad with the BeetleSpurter, just wait 'til you get a Caterham.

Yup, R400 would get my vote. Don't really need anything quicker. Lovely Caterham Blackbird for sale in the classifieds... yum yum. I am tempted myself.

B***ocks. Those electro-armchair monstrosities are fit only for Dibnah's Skip Hire of Preston

Or even better, take the blunderbus off the local peasantry and blow the foam filled feckers to bits!
