£51 million!

Ok, with £51m in the offin tonight what would be on your list of vehicles?

Lets set a modest budget of £500,000 total as spending anymore would get a bit silly. New and 2nd hand cars, bikes, boats, planes whatever.

With £51m in the bank and a transport budget of £500k I'd have at least 25 cars and at least 10 bikes.

Perhaps only 3 or 4 cars worth over £30k.

The list would be too bandwidth-hungry to labour the PH servers with.

Thats a good list. I'd also get a low profile car for occasions when I don't want to draw attention. Perhaps a 2nd hand passat of particularly high interior spec?

The key advantage of 2nd hand means not having to wait for delivery. Though with £51mil I think you'd probably just lease whatever you need. Either short, medium or long term. Either car, boat or jet!

Thats what the Alpina is for - most non car nuts just think its a normal 5 series.

Yes.

My wife thinks it is odd. I pointed out that if, for example, I was to spend £140,000 on an S65, I could buy TWO of them used with low miles and give one to a friend. Total outlay the same, I still get insane performance on a car that is maybe two years old and a friend also gets to go on schnell-hooning.

Or, alternatively, give £70,000 to a local charity etc or the young bloke that I see, rain, hail or shine, sweeping the streets for the council near where I live. Not out nicking stuff, not sitting outside the station saying "spare a penny for a cuppa guv" etc but doing a pretty unpleasant job.

They win. I win. Everyone is happy.

Anyways, can't buy a new McLaren F1 can we!

For godsake man £51 million and you set a limit of 500k , you need banning from piston heads and need a reality check on how much money and devaluation of material things that amount actually brings. Me! 5 million on cars and bikes, 5 million on some derelict statley home and the rest on beer :-) and my very short life :-)

Bristol the company from the administrator, so I bought a couple of tickets. Then I bought Octane magazine and realised I could probably spend all £51 million buying cars I would like from the ads in just the one issue - provided I left a litle for somewhere to keep them!
