Every other w
ker was keeping out of the bus lane and all tripping over themselves, yet you had to watch them like a hawk becaus ethey'd just whang the left indicator on and turn into you without looking.
Then they get all shirty because you take the bus lane at the lights and get ahead.
I'm answering B) by the way. Everybody else on the roads tonight should answer A) plonkers.

always outside the hours of operation. what boils my piss is those who can't turn left across the bus lane properly. they must be thinking it's full of land mines or something.
just ingnore it and get along with the rest of your day, i would never boil my piss over something that has such little effect on my day.Bus lanes near me are all red and the blue signs are marked bus and push bike only, no times - therefore are 24hour BUS LANES.
I keep out of them. A lot of idiots pull into one in particular early to try and cut past all the traffic thats correctly waiting for the lane to finish to then merge to then turn left, the bus lane cheats then get shirty when the drivers who are in the right cut them up to turn left. The end of the bus lane is also labelled to remind bus drivers they have to wait for merging cars to turn left.

I'm amazed at the amount of drivers that do not use bus lanes out of the operating hours, I can only assume that they can't read or aren't paying attention.
Having said that it's like having a private road.
If you are not local, or a frequent user of a particular area, surely this is understandable ?Having said that it's like having a private road.

We have a new bus lane on Newtown road in Worcester, it's an absolute abortion, the road is only about a mile and a half long, the bus lane, from memory is in five parts, (yes thats five seperate parts in that distance), parts one two and three are twenty four hour, and bus and cycle only, part four is twenty four hour, and bus cycle and taxi, part five is between seven am to ten am, and four pm to seven pm, and is bus and cycle only.
Confused ? .......... you bloody well should be.
We need national rules, not this local b

Yes, but you have to remember that parking is usually permitted during the 'off' hours as well and you may well find the lane blocked by one or more parked cars, hence why people don't often bother to use them.
my route home is Holloway Road (the A1) and you can almost always see the parked car sufficiently in advance to find a gap to pull into without inconveniencing anybody. I reckon I save a couple of minute most evenings without impeding other drivers.Wills2 said:

Same here. Amazed by people who don't use the bus lane which is only in operation near my house at the times of 07:30-09:30.Having said that it's like having a private road.

This also results in a lot of congestion on a busy road too as on the other side of the road alot of cars park, so the cars coming the other way sometimes have to give way to the people out of the bus lane.
