Fiat parts help please

Hello all.

A mate (well he's not mine, he's the wifes mate) has a Fiat Ducato 2.3 diesel 100 multijet camper van, on an 07 plate.

He is looking for a cpu, part number 9666484280.

Apparently the fault is he doesn't know how much fuel is in the tank, and it has been diagnosed to this part.

He's asked me to see if I can find him one on the "internet" !

BMW's, I'd know where to start, Fiat ..... I ain't got a clue.

Any help much appreciated, many thanks in advance

I've had a look on Eper (elec parts catalogue) but not really sure what I'm looking for; and the van will have been modified so also not sure which vehicle is the base without the VIN number.

A quick google for the number you posted only shows software....you'd be better off with the Fiat part number and google with that

Quick phone call to a dealer might help...

That, apparently, is the Fiat part number.

The vin number is ZFA 250000-01038622

Aplogies...it didn't look much like the part numbers I'm used to(Alfa!).

It is a recognised Fiat number but shows as an injection control unit...things like this tend to be dealer only parts, at £800 I think the only option will be getting a unit from a scrapper.

...or tell him to fill up every X number of miles

The reason he asked me for help is he's aware that I had the abs ecu fail on my 5 series, BMW wanted £900 plus for one, it was a bosch part, and I got one directly from a bosch dealer for £350

He's of course hoping to do the same.

I thought I'd ask on PH, as there is usually someone that knows something about most things.

I'll have a google about, you wouldn't happen to know whu makes that unit would you ?
