Car still has got no power? Changed battery, 4no fuses above battery and then all fuses in foot well, also checked the two 40's above main fuse bank.

Also checked earth staps and all ok

Please help!!!

I might by sending you down the wrong route but do the side lights come on without the ignition on, I'm pretty sure that they are meant to by law? I don't know what else should work with the ignition off? Is it only after you turn the igntion switch that there is then no power? Implying that the igniton switch, start button or wiring has been affected during your rebuild.

Has it got power at the starter motor.

Sounds like either an earth problem or possibly a break down in one of the main live/earth cables!

To prove all cables are intact and power is getting up to the starter motor have you tried putting a meter across the starter motor positive and anywhere negative?

Does the ignition light come on?

Have you proved that your 'new' battery is good?

My mechanic is having the same problem. Car rebuilt started then blew the main fuse. Now won't start. No power to ecu or fuel pump but there is to startermotor.

I I had a 044 fuel pump fail and my car wouldn't start.

there are 3-4 relays behind the wheel arch on the battery side, remove each one individually and check terminals arnt corroded and clean and replace. those are the relays for ecu, starter, etc

How about the big 80A maxifuse under the rear clam?

Did he check the four fuses in the engine compartment?

Well its sorted!!! Was the 80amp fuse under the drivers wheel arch. Thanks for all your posts and Gary's help at north London rolling road. Off to goodwood in the morning, happy dayz
