Hey guys,

I have a 1994 Mk1 Mondeo 2 Litre Ghia with 45K on the clock.

Yesterday I noticed the oil light had come on so I thought I'd top it up when I got home, but when I got home there was a large oil spill on the drive. I parked the car up and looked underneath the car and saw there was oil leaking from the OSF of the engine bay.

It seemes to have emptied it's entire contents onto the drive within about an hour.

Does anybody know what this could be? Is it likely to be the Oil Pressure Sensor? Or maybe even the filter itself etc? I have no acces to a ramp and don't have axel stands so have no way of getting a better look short of taking it to a garage where they'll charge me £400 to screw something back on, lol

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Darren

Oil pressure switches are a very common failure, but shouldnt empty the car of oil. They are only a few quid to change.
