thinking of acepting a new job offer which will mean i get the choice of either a new megane sports tourer i think the 110 ps eco model or maybe a slightly older focus estate tdci. the other option is i take a van and don't pay company car tax but use my own car (mazda6 mps for private use.
now i don't a quick calcutate and the megane will cost about £90 a month in tax with fuel so even with my low milage (6k) a year at the moment its still worth while. main thing is are they comfy and any good to drive and out of the two i like the looks of the megane over the focus but which is the better steer?

yeah it will be but i bought it about a grand cheaper than it should be. id say i could sell it now for a £1000 profit!
the main thing is though i love my cars and don't want to lose my one and only hobby but might be able to sort a weekend car at some point instead.

it is the new megane so really want to know how comfy they car, what there like to dive and is it worth paying £90 a month for and i only do about 100-150 miles a week tops private milage so weeks il do 50 miles tops

Go to your local Renault dealer and test drive one.

I have the new Coupe which is slightly lower and stiffer, drives lovely. I'd imagine the tourer wouldn't be much different. Don't let the "anti Renault fan club" put you off. They have really upped their game and quality is improving on a huge scale - Speaking from experience, I've had a few and never had a problem with any. You'll probably find the problematic ones are driven/abused by crap drivers.

The 1.5 dCi range of engines are excellent too. A recent review stated that the Megane Coupe is more economical, quicker and cheaper than the new Honda CR-Z "Hybrid". And it's not exactly slow off the line either. Now that is saying something.

On a motorway run I average between 60-75mpg dependant on traffic, and sit between 65-70mph in the Coupe. Driving around town between 30-40mph where permitted I get around 55mpg. Also, road tax is only £30.
