Whilst lying under my car this morning I noticed that one of the mounting points for a lower wishbone is showing small signs of rust. I want to sort it, but ti do the job properly I will have to undo and remove the lower mounting bolts.

What are the pitfalls? I will remove the wheel and support the hum on a axle stand. Will I stuff up the geo? or the bushes? is it best left to TVR power when they service the car?

Whilst I am asking, where do people position their trolley jacks when jacking the front? I dont want to use the outriggers so I tent to use one of the central longitudinal members, but there aren't many places to place the jack especially if you then want to use an axle stand.

For the jack, I use the points on the outriggers behind the wheels where the diagonal brace attaches. These are the factory recommended jacking points as well. I then put axle stands under the main chassis rails to support it whilst working.

I am going to have to my ARB drop links some time soon as they have seen better days and I have started to think about the bushes as well as the wishbones. So I too would like to know what is involed in taking them off. My major concerne is the shocks will it compress the springs at all?

Looks small, but these are supposed to be the jacking points on the Tuscan.. Sorry but can't make it show bigger...
