Got Evo though the door this morning, and on the news pages there is more speculation / information on the upcoming 997, potential 998 model /front drive v8Gt.

Anyone else know what to make much of this or is it just speculation?

Good article, mostly stuff that has been rumoured on here though.

Interesting suggestion that 911 will spawn '998' 100k+ mid engined v8 'supercar' to go head to head with gallardo / 360 using technology from carrera gt.

Not sure what that would mean for the 911 turbo though? Surely it coudn't be dropped!

Personally I'm still hankering after the front engined v8 GT a la 928 that they whisper about... Fingers crossed!
