So, my Dad's Disco 3 has gone in for a service and recall.
We get a '60 plate TDV8 Range Rover for a CC.
Well, I need to find myself £70K fast.
What an amazing car. The torque is fantastic, it's pretty nippy but it feels even faster than it is.
The 8-speed auto box is a wonder, and all the toys are enjoyable too. The ride, as you can imagine, is fantastic. We went down some roads that we know well, bumpy single track roads that really leave a lot to be desired. The Rangie literally just ironed them out. 27MPG on the trip computer on the way back home too, which for a car this size, with a big engine, is nothing less than remarkable.
The only niggle I would say is the digital dials, I would prefer simple analogue ones myself.
Other than that, it really is as good as they say. I didn't really intend this to be a review, just wanted to share my thoughts on the car really!
Comments, questions and put-downs welcome.

I love ours, though I haven't seen 27 MPG! The TDV8 gives a great surge of torque to push you up to NSL++ speeds off junctions and roundabouts without feeling stressed.
Only nitpick is that I think the seats could be a bit more comforting; they're great by most car seat's standards and I can handle 100 miles in them fine but I've sat in more comfortable ones.

Funnily enough, my mate who was sat in the back said he didn't think the seats were as comfortable as you would expect. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
