Morning all,

Got an ecu temp sensor fault according to sp6 software. I'm about to investigate but wonder if anyone knows what the cold resistance reading should be across the sensor.

Cheers.

IIRC I had that once, it went away next time I drove the car.

Cheers - unfortunately this is a 'reliable fault' and isn't going away. Apparently the ECU defaults to 95degs if there is any fault with the engin etemp sensor chain and that is the reading I'm getting - also getting the lower temp fan on all the time. The dash temp is different and more believable so I recon the fault lies between sensor and ECU and just wondered if anyone knew the correct sensor resistance when cold so I could start there - if not and the wiring/connectors look Ok I'll just get another one and see if that sorts it.

Sorry but I'm of no help either on this.
If you do end up changing it, measure the old and new one and let us know too :-)

The dash is driven by it´s own seperate sensor further forward on the same side of the engine as the ECU sender, which is why it´s still giving a sensible reading.
