what car, the sunday edition.....
Discussion
Guys,
Following some good changes at work, I have a company car arriving on Monday, so the 330Ci is being prepped for sale (again) and will be going shortly.
Now my dilema has always been balancing Normal and work Mileage with the fun stuff.
So this is going to be a pure Sunday fun car...
Im not sure whether I will wait till 2012, but the list is growing....
The basics are
Convertible
Nice sound
No less than 6Cyl
Some degree of "Reliability"
Ideally minimal depreciation
RWD
Balistically intercontinental
Hoon and TR able
So far I have on the list
TVR Chimera
TVR Tuscan
Ariel Atom
BMW Z4M
Although not a Cabriolet, a E46 M3CSL?
Not a Boxster....
Or stretch to something bigger in 12months.....
I want to start researching options, so what does the collective SAS knowledge have up its.......

Z4m roadsters are fantastic value now, if it needs to be a convertible I'd be driving that and asking Nigel to see what his e46 Cab is like to compare. Don't know if they've got that cheap yet but a 335i convertible would be very near the top of that list given your wish list.
350/370z?
645/650
Sod getting a convertible and get an M5 / RS4/6.
Or a caterham / lotus / vx200 type thing however I doubt it would be practical enough for you as I'm guessing you'd like to be able to do LOS etc. with a passenger.

Tempted by an E46M3 but would want to wait till 2012 and make it a CSL
Not keen on the 350/370, just dont like the design of them...
Audi RS4, did wonder about a convertible one....
RS6 too family car...
as to the Cater-otus-x200 brigade, Im fat....
I would like it to be a car that is cando some touring.....

Maybe a little bias but a Chim should always be in with a good shout.
Z4 Roadsters appear to offer great value for money, both Z4Ms and 3.0 Z4s.
I did know of a fasntastic Z4M that was for sale but sadly it's now sold:
