Female friend has a 2006 Ibiza. Had the battery out the other day for a charge at her Dad's. Battery back in, getting a message on the radio saying "safe".

I'm guessing it needs a code - anyone know how she'd enter this ?

I'm 40 miles away otherwise I'd just go round and have a go at it smile

Surely you'd just enter the code using the radio station select buttons 1-6 confused

Are you sure it hasn't got comfort coding?, whereby you start the engine, turn the radio on and after a short time the radio realises that it belongs to that vehicle and enables itself. It only works if its the radio that the car left the factory with.

Use buttons 1-4 to enter the code. Each time you press the button, the number will increase eg, code is 1345, press button 2 3 times, 4 4times 5 five times. Then press and hold the pty button. Some of those cars had a different radio in though, so my be slightly different. It tells you how to do it in the radio manual, where she will find the code wink
