silly question, how to open boot on my griffith no battery?

Sorry, im new to Griff ownership and cant open the boot, the battery is dead, is there a manual release?

You don't need to get into the boot on the Griff to gain access to the car, just a bit of lateral thinking. Just stand and look at the car and I'm sure the answer will come to you.

I don't think he read your question properly - you need to get into the boot not the car right?
There is a method of doing this but obviously nobody is going to share it on a public forum. Do you have the owner's manual for the car? It's a simple procedure that's fully explained in there.

Dunno what the raised eyes were for, the post sounds like a typical 'battery is flat I'm locked out so how do I get in the boot question' If you've got access to the car and the battery is dead then it either needs charging or replacing, either way once the battery is recharged you'll be able to get in the boot without using 'the method'

Thanks guys, i have just bought a crunched griff and dont really want to put life into the battery just yet (too many bits and wires hanging off!!) so was after a way to open the boot just to see whats in there. Anyone selling a front end, exhaust manifolds and Y, and offside wishbone set for a 1992 4.0L?

Yes it is the red one from near Doncaster , I went with Him to help get it. No manuals or history , unless they are locked in the boot !!! Just needs a new front and associated bits and will look loverly again.

Yes, well, what can i say but im sorry about the security concerns ive caused, but i wouldnt expect anyone to post sensitive info on here for all to see.

I cant get to see my email until i go into work later in the week but it can wait til then.

Yes i bought the Red one near Doncaster, damage looked worse than it really is. Very nice condition, it was a well looked after car. The seller said a dealer was after it as there was supposedly something special about it, a regular show car or something. Anyone know anything about the cars history??

Ok, so couldnt wait, bit the bullit taped up exposed wires and connected up the battery, popped boot open but nothing in there. Oh well, start lookng for all those bits now

No , the plate is now on the sellers Chimera apparently.

Updated to say that the original reg number is now back on the car as the seller did not really transfer it to his other car and gave it back for a smallish consideration.

Repairs are progressing , replacement radiator purchased , new windscreen fitted and new front wishbones have been ordered . Just lights and fibreglass bits to go.
