Ready for the Summer

Its seems like winter this year has lasted for ever. The griff is now back on the road now as most of winter projects i had planned for are completed. Including Body lift and Por15 plus new carpets and all the leather repainted dash, door cards, whale tail etc etc.

Its a leather paint. Basically you have to strip the old paint and top coat of the leather and reaply it using an airbrush I changed the colour of my leather from a greeny beige to a cream. The results are pretty good

Hi Chris, Where did you get your new carpets from! Are they overmats or complete new set..

Ive sent for samples from these guys, were they easy to fit did you buy there underlay & sticking foam

They are fairly straight forward, you do have to do some modifications though, the transmission tunnel has the binding that you get on the pre-cats but not on the 500's and the carpet that goes on the battery cover also has binding on which makes it tough to fit but any problems you have they will sort out.

If your going to do it yourself dont just rip out the old all at once as you wont be able to remeber where or how everything fits back in and it becomes a very hard jigsaw.

The leather paint was from a company called furniture clinic
http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Colourant... this was the kit I used but is only any good for leather so if you have a half leather car you will only be able to do the seats.
I changed the colour on mine so everything had to come out full dash, door cards, roof back, whale tail etc. If you do decide to go ahead make sure you order extra leather prep as the kit doesn't really supply enough and I ran out half way through.
