Its not as expensive as you think Norman, I,ve been going since the early 1990,s. used to drive across which isn,t that bad if you go as a group and share fuel, ferry etc. We now do it really on the cheap and fly, about £100 return to Dusseldorf. You can get train from airport to Essen then underground to show halls or get a taxi if a few go. If you have never been you really are missing something incredible, it makes the NEC shows look like a village fete. 17 halls and over 1,000,000 square feet of show, you need 2 days minimum to do it justice. You will see cars you have never seen before and probably never will anywhere else and the quality of everything is top. Even the food and beer are real, none of the stale muck you get in UK (and usually thrown at you eventually but someone who can only manage a grunt). Its something you should do, if only once. Rolf, we will come and say hello, its about time TVR had a presence.
Rolf, given its a classic car exhibition, maybe you would have got more response if you had posted this in the "Classics" forum but probably a bit late now. I will be there with 4 other TVR owners all members of Association of Real "S" Enthusiasts, TVR International Touring Society or British Users of "M" Series. All regular contributors in the Classics forum, we will be there on friday and saturday. Looking forward to the "curry" worst and Warsteiner.
