threads gone

i'v been offline for a week and noticed the gypsy weddings and the roadrage/facial hair discussion threads have gone.
i can understand the roadrage one getting killed (even though it was funny) but what about the gypo one?

It seems that it had moved away from discussion of the program and on to stereotyping comments which could be viewed as racist and get both us and the posters into a lot of trouble.

Looks like this:

Under the Law of the United Kingdom, "incitement to racial hatred" was established as an offence by the provisions of §§ 17-29 of the Public Order Act 1986. It was first established as a criminal offence in the Race Relations Act 1976. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 made publication of material that incited racial hatred an arrestable offence.
This offence refers to:
deliberately provoking hatred of a racial group
distributing racist material to the public
making inflammatory public speeches
creating racist websites on the Internet
inciting inflammatory rumours about an individual or an ethnic group, for the purpose of spreading racial discontent.

Of course, it was perfectly acceptable for the gypos in MBFGW to repeatedly refer to us as 'Gorgers' and at one point one of them, upon arriving at the wrong wedding, said "Oh no, that's a pakki wedding".

Funny how the media never murmured a word over their racism towards others yet we can't even say the word 'pikey' without being accused of 'inciting racial hatred'.

Even the gypsies in MBFGW pissed themselves laughing at the suggestion they were 'law abiding'.

Racism, apparently something that can only be comitted by white caucasians.

We've covered this on other threads, and it is well explained above this post in this thread. I do not wish for every thread on this subject to descend into an attempt to justify tacit racism towards travellers. We will not tolerate this on the forum, and we do not differentiate our views according to the ethnic group targeted, simply because it is not an issue about which there can be degrees of acceptability.

We've asked nicely, but we will (and have) used the banning tools at our disposal if you don't heed the warnings.
