I am thinking of taking away the back boxes and having straight pipes fitted. Does anyone know of a local exhaust specialist who would be able to do this for me. I have had quotes from a couple of companies but one is in the West Mids and the other in Wales.

Its just a case of cutting the back boxes out and installing two Y Pipes with a double pipe on each, 3" diameter probably. I would need them to be able to make the pipes on site too.

Cheers, I have sent you an email to them and will let you know.

I have been quoted £240 and £260 all in so far but it would have cost a far bit to get to these place in petrol, Aylesbury would be a bonus.

Try Richard here, he is trying to resist doing exhaust work, but he is very very skilled and has all the equipment.
He has a unit in Bracknell

Quinten, I have sent you an email. He wants a car to look at, might be easier if you can spare the time to go down there.

Shouldn't you be concentrating on getting the Clio going before you pull another one to bits... hehe

Just for the rest of the audience, I went to TG this afternoon and the guy had a look underneath to see what the options were. Just a plain simple muffler delete (all 4 of them), would require the car for around 3 hours and would cost around the £300 plus vat.

Seems that everything is expensive in the south wink
