I ordered thisyesterday, can collect it tomorrow, it's "free", what do the watch experts think?
Is it any good, or should I return it & use Tesco deal points in a jewllers?
Meanwhile I shall be looking at a catalogue shop to se what I can get through Nectar.

I believe they're owned by Seiko? Not sure though.

I think they're ok.

Sub-brand of Seiko. Next to no cachet in the brand, but the fit and finish is as good as you'll get at the price point, they're very reliable, and the only weak link (ha!) in the chain is that bracelets tend to be a bit pap.

This goes for Lorus too, by the way.

Haven't got one but they're supposed to be great VFM, a bit like lower priced Seikos which I guess is no surprise really! I think I read somewhere that the 'J' is for Japan.

If you buy Pulsar esp the divers buy second hand they go for nothing on ebay and are VERY well made most of the parts are Seiko.

I had one and was rather disappointed in honesty. The chronograph dials all developed faults, and then the bracelet broke. The Seiko 5 I bought at the same time has been utterly reliable however and was a cheap ebay purchase.

I've had a Pulsar Kinetic for 5 or 6 years. Cheap, accurate and utterly reliable.

Bought this Pulsar Kinetic last year off ebay...new watch on a nice leather strap for about £39 ( RRP was about £100... if that means anything now )

Put it on a deployment strap & was going to use it for work...but liked it so much it has been retired... really like the simple dial with the 1950's style hands.

It was a cheap way to get a Seiko kinetic movement.

I have one that looks quite like a Seiko 5

I got it when I was 12 for Christmas.

I'm now 26 and it still gets worn.

very reliable.

Update, I got the Pulsar, so far I'm happy with it.
Also ordered the J Springs orange faced as seen on the £50 watch thread, again, I've had no problems, though others did. Mine has kept time well & the service from watches2u was superb, I'm tempted by their "Rotary week" currently running frown
