Thinking about buying a nice 993C2 this weekend, but need some more quotes. Getting 2k from admiral. I'm 30, couple years no claims in London.

Would appreciate any recomendations.

Cheers, Al.

Liverpool Victoria gets a lot of votes. Adrian Flux brokers are also cheap. Try Tesco also. Oh and Elephant (part of Admiral group but sometimes cheaper).

I have used Norwich Union via the AA in the past but have switched to www.elephant.co.uk

Thanks for the replies. Tescos won't quote me online, direct line are the same.

Also tried Admiral / Elephant already. Will call other suggestions tomorrow.

993 C2, 96N, 60k, Air, sunroof, blue, for 28k? Seem reasonable?

Cheers, Al

Privilege were recommended to me and came up with a good quote on-line with a fairly simple form etc.

I'm in my 40s and they quoted me and my wife as drivers at just under £800 (South Bucks).

Bog standard or any mods...?

Wheels, exhausts, spoilers or nickable stuff?

Join PCGB and get a valuation and it might help.

These cars are classics now and with limited mileage and an agreed value there are discounts to be had.

Peart are quite competetive, they're based in Kendal, Cumbria.

CIS Insurance are pretty good.
Also, if the car is over 10 yrs old you should be able to get Classic Insurance on low mileage

Thanks for the tips. Going to view the car tomorrow.

Will post findings. Hopefully it's a nice straight unmolested example.

Cheers, Al.

I had a LHD 993 C2 value of £24,000 insured by NatWest for £780 (no tracker needed either) This was 1 year ago. I am 31 y old, West London, max no claims.

Top Tip with NW - say you have home insurance with them and you get +10% off ! They never check as they are actually seperate companies.

Currently I am with Admeral - good cover I reckon as I wrote off my 993 and I can say that NW claims are fair and square too.

Just insured mine with Norwich Union, now an old git so insurance £640 full no claims bonus etc and business use.
Direct line underwrite the Tesco / British Gas insurance, same call centre, different lines, Admiral & Elephant also same Co although they quote different fees.
