Hiya guys I’ve been a bit of a long time lurker but have finally bit the bullet and joined up! And with an MX5 no less.

It’s just a plain jane UK 1.6 but I have had loads of fun already and even on the daily drive to work!

This is the latest picture as I have just fitted an offset number plate bracket and square plate, I'm not totally happy with the plate position but it's much better than the standard one covering the nose cone.

I bought it cheap and tatty so I seem to be spending most of my free time fixing the little problems but so far I'm finding it very simple to work on which is great smile

I look forward to attending a local meet!

Looks great, nice to see an early uk model in good condition.

Had it been repainted at all? I ask because red ones tend to fade, but yours still looks fresh.

looks much better without the number plate mounting. I take it that it screws in, looks like there are mounting brackets.

Hi mate,

Get yourself a front grill to keep the stones from destroying your radiator. They also look good too.

Cheers on the positive comments. The paintwork is a bit more patchy irl but it was only last weekend that I gave it a hand polish and wax so its good to know it looks ok smile

Beeby I have seen so many without grills I began to wonder if they were standard or not? Might see what I can knock up the old black mesh in the shed.
