Im looking for a new exhaust to free up some noise from the V8 and have been looking at Millteks as they were always pretty good but ive been warned by one or two people that their standards have slipped recently and their E92 M3 gear isnt up to scratch

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I had a Miltek on my E92 M3, it was a big improvement over the standard exhaust, but no where near as fruity as an akrapovic or a Tubi rumore.

It depends on how much you want to spend?

It all depends on how loud you want to go.
I fitted a Remus Race and love it but it may be just a tad too loud.
Loads of info and video comparison on m3post.com

I dont want to spend the £2k+ that some systems are going for

I like the price of the Milltek, and a quick YouTube clip seems to give a good sound, i dont want to loose that European V8 noise, just increase it a bit

I had a milteck on my 996 turbo and thought it was a great piece of kit.
There is a milteck for sale for £400 on m3post and the Remus go for about £800

I've (yet again!) been giving some serious thought to changing my 996tt for an E92 M3.
If I was to do it, I'd have no problem splashing £1800 on one of these exhausts...
