Am I mad for even contemplating such a detour?

I have always waned to take the M5 round, but getting yet another weekend pass is an impossibility!

3 in the car, Ladened with camping gear for Le Mans. If I do it can anyone recommend a campsite we can pitch the tent for the night and dump all the gear out of the boot before taking my Virgin Nurburgring experience?

It's not just me, but getting 3 of us all with families to get another weekend that we can all make is an imposibility.

Also it will be one hell of a great Roadtrip!

Madness must be spreading!!

Myself and the Mrs are taking the elise and camping at Le Mans (will have to install the Mrs and then put the camping gear around & on top of her. I have told her the more clothing she takes the more squashed she's going to be). We are ditching the majority of the camping gear after le Mans and going on a 2.5k pootle around Europe taking in the sights Monte Carlo, the Stelvio Pass and some other high and twisty bits all the way to Salzburg. We then make our way back to blighty via the best roads Switzerland has to offer.

I am tempted to fit a Larini clubsport and de-cat exhaust so that when the inevitable nagging and bickering occurres we are both too deaf to hear what each other is saying.

It should be an absolute blast. My philosophy is do it when you can while you can, it ain’t no trial run out there fellow petrol heads.

Can't wait. bounce

THHLEEDS - Sounds great!

But I have just found out that the Ring isn't open the week before Le Mans! Bugger Bugger Bugger, I presumed it was open most days/nights, obviously not!

Looks like will have to arrange another weekend, if we can all get together!
