IVA / SVA Help Required Please!!!!

Hi all, I have just bought an old classic car and unfortunately the chassis is beyond repair. I am selling all of the drivetrain from the car and I want to:
1) Create a spaceframe chassis using only the outline of the original car. i.e. Most of the shell will be discarded. (Please see John Beardmore's Minor build for an example of this)
2) Replace the old drivetrain with a modern one.
How do I go about registering this hybrid as a road legal car?
What identification do I need to keep / gain from these cars/parts?

It will require an IVA so you will need to study the manual carefully so you plan out any issues as you build.
It will end up with a Q plate as you will not be using enough parts from one vehicle.
As it is a car made from various bits it will end up registered as whatever you want to call it 'GDP3 Rip Snorter' I doubt DVLA will allow you to call it by the name the original classic used as they would consider that as mis-representantion.
Keep all receipts for the parts you buy and if possible the V5c for each vehicle you scrounge bits from.

Any major parts will require good proof of purchase otherwise they may think the parts are stolen. They are getting a bit anal about engine swaps these days. They would not accept a hand written receipt from my local breakers on the last engine swap I did so I don't think an ebay transaction is going to work either.
You also want to build a big pile of receipts for all the ancillary bits the more the better. A ring binder full to the brim is a believable project rather than a scam.

ETA Don't forget to take masses of photos all through the build. You will be presenting to IVA as an amateur build so photos of your build in an engineering workshop will take some explaining. Photos in your garage and on your drive including (but not mandatory) wheelie bins, kids bikes, young child sitting in empty chassis holding a steering wheel, dogs, cats, etc. are the things they are looking for. Close-up shots of a steering joint are of no interest to them but a succession of photos producing a time-line of the build would be ideal.
