wackojacko's Coupe

Evening all.
First off I'd like to make it clear that I'm not your typical 17 year old that likes Ripspeed Halfords crap and sits in McDonalds car parks on a sataday night
....this is my car (which is a ridiculous colour), I always knew I couldn't have a typical first car having had fast cars around me all my life. At present we have a Noble M12 GT03, CL600 Bi-Turbo, CLK 430 and a Saab 9000CDE sitting in the garage/drive.
So here she is (front end)
I have had it about 6 months now and inevitably it didn't stay standard for long (insurance notified of course)
First thing I bought was the Number plate
after much deliberation I then went on to install an Pipercross panel filter with a larger cold air feed to the air box which essentially just makes more noise, Yellow stuff EBC's were fitted all round accompanied by 5.1 fluid and a set of Toyo T1R's these mods all made a really big difference to the overall "hoon-ability" of the car.
It stayed in this form for a while whilst I enjoyed the luxury heated leather interior air con etc.....
which got some funny looks as it annoyed scoobies and fully stripped track cars through the twisties at Castle Combe (26/2/11)
When I got home from CC, looked at the interior and thought to myself that must weigh s
te loads...... so out it came, literally everything !..... only one seat left now
Whilst removing interior which turned out to weigh loads I decided bolted in a set of harnesses for that extra bit of support.
This is what she looks like at the momment.
and of course the PH sticker was top of my list after it's first proper clean.
A cheeky 40mph snow slide full oposite lock
Future plans are to fit some Semi-slicks, replace N/S Rear wheel bearing and proceed to spank the arse off of it around the UK's Race circuits.

suitably brisk now...... did think about the Sunday Service run but need to get the wheel bearing done first so I'll definitly be on the next run

From what I gather, Bertone only do bodywork and styling, they are exclusively a coachbuilder I think. I'm pretty sure their "Mantide" car is a practically unchanged Corvette Z06 under the crazy body work.stabbed rat said:

And yes Looks like Bertone are purely a styling house.
Pretty up market interior for GM though

Yes this is my only car I like un-practical things.
Good question, I bail into their/her car.
Although the passenger seat slides in and bolted down within 5mins if need be also has harness mounts bolted in for passenger, I keep it out usually as it weighs so much (heated leather).

I love how much quicker it is, wasn't slow to start with.
Weight saving is awesome ! although loud and un-practical it feals so much better to drive.
Had a few people say that about my age.... I just see it as if you can afford it then bloody go for it.
aha well most things I can relate to with it thats why I mention it

anything that is not factory fitted or an optional extra on the original car you MUST tell your insurers about.
Not worth the risk I always ring up before I carry out work etc to see if they need to know and if so how much will my premium go up by.(which is nothing)
