I have 15 k for a car i am going to use for work i am not sure what i want to get i am torn between an audi a4 cabrio or a BMW 5 series or a golf GTi i know they are all completely different but i am stumped.

E46 M3 was what I chose in that situation, guess you need to give us the details on restrictions for work (four door, age etc.) and what you want it for (comfy for long commute, fun weekend toy etc.)

Edo that golf is lovely i am going to look at an edition 30 golf in black on fridat, same price as that one but 11k miles and 5 door in black
just to let you know i need and auto just because if wifey ever uses it she hates manuals,

got to be auto, if its a golf i would prefer a 5 door but 3doors are ok, its for my 3 times weekly 200 mile plus trips for work

these are 230 bhp instead of 200 as well

I was doing this same comparison a while ago(excluding the 5 series) and I decided on the ED30

The A4 cab was really nice and in the current weather it would be fantastic, but I found the interior was too cramped and you couldn't really move the gearstick if the armrest was down, and it didn't feel like a "drivers car" because it was too heavy and not nimble enough - i think that could also have been added to because it did not have quattro and in a car that length you really want FR or AWD. The Golf was much more fun to run around in, it's cool because it's quite modest, the body adjustments made to the limited edition also look great. It's also easier to park.

It was still a tough call, I would suggest you bring it down to 1 question: 'Summer fun' or 'Fun to drive'? (don't forget, you also have to live with it in the winter)

I have had my Golf for just under a month now, mine is a manual and fairly basic on options but I always get an urge to go for a drive every time i look at it

EDIT: 1 other thing: another reason I decided on the Golf against the Audi is because I'm in my early 20's and I felt that the Golf suited me better and the A4 cab would be a bit too grown up for me
