Hi,


i am new to Porsche ownership, i have just purchased an 89 944 S2 Cabriolet. Are there any email based discussion groups that people know off. Also if any one can recomend any independant garages in the Oxford area i would be greatful.

Also, does anyone know if the standerd alarm / imobilser is Thatcham approved? Many thanks

This is a pretty good discussion forum for general Porsche nattering. For more detailed 944 chat try rennlist.com or a yahoo subscriber group (email based).

There are plenty of good specialists in Oxon - you are spoilt for choice. A few examples...

- JZ Machtech
- G-Force motorsport

PS Enjoy your 944 - I've had an S2 and a Turbo
PPS The UK PA1000 alarm or whatever it is called, should be Thatcham listed, but it depends on your insurer. Specialist Porsche brokers like Nowell and Richards are more likely to accept it than Direct Line etc.
