Wiper Motor Switch

Seems to be a common problem; wipers won't park. Otherwise they work OK -
washers, intermittent, slow and fast speeds.

Thought I'd change the switch on the motor first as it's quite cheap.

Mine looks like this and I should be able to get to it by unclipping the
radiator water tank overflow pipe and just moving the pipe out of the way



To save a lot of potential fumbling my question is - is the switch held
on to the motor by the metal clip thingy and do you just push the switch
upwards to unclip it from the back of motor and then pull it out or is it more complicated than this?

It does just clip on but I thought it was the plastic part of the switch body that clipped on - could be my bad memory though.

I took the whole lot out to clean the whole lot and to see how it went together but I don't think it was necessary to just fix the prob.

Metal clip on mine.

I had to refurb my motor at the same time, so I replaced the switch at the same time, it could be very fiddly to do in situ.

But it takes time & patience
