Lamborghini question

Can someone explain how this car can backfire on the up shift. I can understand on the overrun but when changing up through the gears there's still plenty of popping and banging.

Maybe hitting the rev limiter?

Depending on the gear change system in place, it sounds as if the engine ignition is being cut momentarily. If so, the map has been set to keep injecting fuel during the change process, therefore the fuel enters the cylinder, there is no spark and ignites in the exhaust. That is the cause of the flames etc
