Im over in the US on business for a few weeks and I will be staying in Bowling Green Kentucky for a few days. There is where they manufacture the Corvette and apparently they do open tours! Has anybody ever been? Is it worth it?

I work at an engine manufacturing plant anyway so Im wondering if it will be the same old same old.

Well worth 'doing the tour', and the Corvette Museum if you have the time.(if you have an interest it Vette's) You might even be able to start up a Vette as it rolls of the production line !! A few did on the tour I went on.

I was over at the NCM (National Corvette Museum) in Bowling Green at the end of Jan and asked about doing the tour but the tours were off at the time. Check with the Museum website to see if the tour dates coincide with your visit.
I did the tour in 2002 and it was very good.

I will be at the museum probably next Tues/Wed dropping off some books!

It's a good tour - well worth a look. I think there may be a small charge these days and you might need to book ahead. Details probably on the Corvette Museum website....

PS While you're there please find out about the forthcoming C7 and let us know....

Or swim fins! I did once but was very, very drunk. I was asked to leave, but not before installing a dash in some poor bds C5.
