My other half has OK'd the engine block in the front room as a coffee table (God I love the fact my Mrs was a tomboy growing up sometimes) but i have a problem, my front room is teeny-tiny so a v8 black would dominate the room

Can anyone think a 4/6 cylinder interesting looking or interesting engine block i could use?

The other proviso is it needs to be something I would find very cheaply

Think bike!

A number of companies have stuck two 4 cylinder blocks together in a V form.

V8 blocks aren't very big, just get one of those.

+1 Same as an inline 4 of course

A little wider maybe ;-)

There is someone on the web that makes them (cant remember who, but google will tell you)

But I reckon it would be much more fun to make your own.

Top Gears is a V10 I think to give you an idea of scale.

V12, no?

A Vauxhall 2.5 V6 block can be had for free if you look in the right places. They don't look like sculptures though.

An Aston V12 block makes a good wine rack.

You'd have to put the bottles cork down though...
