Anyone recommend anything nice around Moreton in Marsh or any of the other quaint Cotwold villages in the area.

Nice comfy rooms and somewhere to relax with wine in the evenings is only requirement.

Up to £200 a night or thereabouts.

Thread hijack, but WHY do people have websites that start music (or video) automatically? Closed it instantly.

If you want to go as far as Broadway I can recommend the Lygon Arms

http://www.broadway-cotswolds.co.uk/lygon.html

Nice pool and good parking around the back. The village is really nice early morning or in the evening when all the day trippers have gone. They have traditional old world rooms and more modern ones with Bang and Olufsen kit.

Fish Hill?
Worcestershire's own little slice of motoring nirvana. A44 to Broadway.

That squashed RS4 of yours is built for that stretch of road wink

Regular haunt of PHer's in the area (+ a fair few who come in from Birmingham etc)

Well worth a detour + there is a lay-by after the summit, so you can park up and then head back down and do it all again.

I know of one driver who has done fish hill with an entry speed of 120 leptons intio the first bend and an exit speed at the top of 80 leptons. Don't try this until you are very familar with the hill as some bends tighten and the apex is quite late.

Close the road once a year and it would be an amazing hill climb venue smile

Did you see it?

I can see how 80 leptons would be possible at the top, but that first bend (tight left hander is 25mph restricted), unless you are referring to the sweeping right after the dual carriageway.

I may have been in the car wink

The first sweeping bend is the one I meant, then speed is carried to the next tight one (25mph is low for a car that handles well and its not a limit I think its an advisory).

The hill is all about conservation of momentum smile
