Leather "Tarnished"

Hi,

Can anybody advise how I can get the luster back on my M3 leather gearknob?

The leather has worn and is now matt and has a suedey feel to it rather than smooth.

Have tried leather balm and conditioner but no joy.

Buy a new one....worn leather like worn skin will not renew itself when dead. A new gear knob is pretty cheap, just look at specialist parts suppliers etc.

Gear knobs are in constant contact with your hands and the leather will dry out and begin to rot due to the sweat, dirt etc from your palm. With the new one, clean and condition it often and try to drive with clean hands whenever possible.
