At a time when many people are considering a more frugal motor I have headed off in the opposite direction....
My trusty old E28 was getting a bit shabby with a growing list of things to fix, I'd wanted an estate car for a long time...
Merc, AMG, C43, 4 wheels, 8 cylinders, 16 spark plugs, 24 valves.
Makes a nice noise!

lovely!Do bear in mind that this is the newest car I have owned by 15 years and the first I have had with a load of on board electronics.
Idly staring at all the knobs and buttons in traffic last night I noted one with W and S next to the gear knob, checking the book last night showed that its winter and summer modes for the auto box.
I'd had it in winter since buying it and apparently it pulls away in second.
I had no idea!
So this morning I selected summer and floored it! A bit of wheelspin and the traction control wanring light came on! Went like fook too!

I'd had it in winter since buying it and apparently it pulls away in second.

I have been running a V8 as a daily driver for 12 months and 12,000 miles. My friend can work out how much you cash you will ignite keeping yours running - but what he couldn't ever quantify on paper was the smile on your face that appeared whenever you pressed the loud pedal (particularly in a tunnel

I had C43's as daily drivers for seven years. Huge wall of torque for day to day stuff and and nice AMG-fettled top end.
