After having to jump start my car for the fifth time this month i think i need to get a new battery!

I thought at first it was where the negative terminal had corroded through and was in two pieces, but after trying to start it toninght it seems it isn't.

By the looks of it the car still has the original panasonic battery in it. Is there any cheaper alternatives to replace this with?

Reading about it does seem that is the one to go for.

I have just tested the voltage on the battery, when the car is running it is around 15v which i am guessing is correct as the alternator is running aswell, however when we turned it off the battery voltage dropped to 13.31v and then dropped 0.01v every second, at which point we decided we would let the car stand and see later. Is it normal to see the voltage dropping like that?

Ended up being sat on 12.5v after leaving it for an hour, and not moving up or down. Is there anything else i should check on this?

I know the headunit has been turning off as i have been going over bumps recently, so am wondering if that is possibly related, hmm
