since I have my car I noticed that the battery is flattening too quickly, only have the satnav memory connected all other circuits go over a mains switch.
So battery still discharging with mains off. I have now been searching and found that the alternator cable is sucking 160mA which is of course way too much, because your battery will be gone in a week. I hardly understand why ? Also noticed that the charger which has a permanent resistor for charging is generating a voltage at the charging terminal of around 0,8 V.So it pretty much looks like that there is a current through the starter and finally to the alternator.
I will later disconnect the alternator charge cable and see if the resistor there is the only sink that is drawing a current.
Does anybody else have a similar problem with the factory starter sucking 160mA sleeping ?

UPDATE !

ok I was right, there is a residual current through the starter motor, I haved now disconnected the resistor (is similar to the ignition lamp) from the charge terminal on the alternator and hooked it up to the 12V from the ECU supply and now I am reading 12V from the battery through the starter cable ! So as soon the reisistor is earthing this voltage it drops to 0,8V and emptying my battery.

Be aware that I am having a BOSCH motorsport alternator which is different to a regular alternator setup, but it is interesting to know that this can happen.
