Half way between being as beautiful as the Miura and early Countach IMHO....

Anyone had an experience behind the wheel? I'm worried this is where the beauty is let down...

Great car and Beutiful!!

Roger Bell drove a series of classics for Classic and sports car a few years ago and among other writers declared it the best 70's supercar!

Lovely car with great styling. Would go great with my Boxer.

It's full of lovely '70ies touches, like the fixed seat (that looks like it came out of the car in A Clockwork Orange) with adjustable pedals, the polished roof, the flip-up headlamps. I seriously like these.

May tested one in an old TG..

he said where all other 70's supercars faded with time and fashion the Maserati did/has not... it was comfy and more practical than any other...
Clarkson sadly reminded everyone that at the time Citroen owned them and ALOT of the car was one..

My favourite Maserati easily.

If said, typical Clarkston ste repeated as gospel!! The car had citroen Hydraulics opering the clutch steering and pedal box movement! All for the better which is the point most of the testers were making, namely that compared to other similair cars of the time the traditional heavy bits eg clutch and sterring were light to operate!
The car was otherwise PURE maserati!
The engine traced it's lineage back to 1950's maser engines etc
Great car. Would love to have one but turned one down to but the QV.....then bought a Khamsin!

Good find, hadn't seen that.
Predictably disagree with views on countach though! Differnt cars. Certainly not twitchy!
Still would love a Bora. They do run a wee bit hot with the enclosed engine desiign. Were also much better built than the equivelent Ferrari or lambo from the period.

No they are not a let down at all. I have had my Bora for over ten years and it is a joy to drive. I have done some epic road trips in it, driving it as far as Budapest for example and whilst it is not the most reliable car I would still be very reluctant to part with it.

Did you mean Derek Bell?

If so that was my car that was used in that article.
