condensation in the rear light

just on the left hand side - peeing me right off. Took a hairdryer to it (awaiting the lame Griff owners jokes ) last weekend but reappeared within seconds of stopping.

whats the score? keep hairdrying it until it goes then get some clear silicon sealant to reapply around the edge?

Pull the brake light bulb out a bit and put a brick on the brake pedal.

Bulb gets hot, steam escapes in the gap, then reseal.

Apparently so, my mate mentioned it when we were at auction looking for my Peugeot.

They suffer a lot on the headlights with condensation for some reason and he told me about the pulling the light out a bit.

Canny buggers these motor traders!

For something a little more semi-permanent, I take the Fiesta light out and polish the inside of the cover with a hard wax polish. This seems to work well for at least a couple of months with no 'fogging'.

Good advice. My chim's nearside rear light also gets condensation in it and it's infuriating!

Yep, mine too. A well know independant 'fixed' it for me by resealing it, it lasted all of 3 days and I won't tell you what he charged

I think the only proper cure is to get the lens off and re-do it properly, I can't be @rsed so Fernies will be tasked at the next service

yep, only nearside for me as well. car is due to be booked in for pre-le mans service and MOT + a few other tweaks so I might leave it to the garage but it seems a simply DIY job but just a bit time consuming. I'd rather avoid an additional charge if I can do it myself

So, yet another dilemma for you Phil. Do you get the garage to do it or are you going to fix the problem yourself? Decisions decisions...

I might get Austec to look at mine and whilst they're at it, fit some 'upgrades'. The perfect rear!!

It's almost Cosmos Blue The chap I know who has one of these has got it in Azure Blue. Very striking. But trust me with the gold wheels, I doubted it until I saw one with my very own eyes. Truly stunning...from a lady's perspective!

TVR TIP number 84...I drilled a tinyhole ie 2.0mm at the bottom of the cover in the corner.This lets the air in/out and seems to work great.No water gets in as it runs past and any polish is easily cleared out
