I am looking at getting a van with an advertising board on the back of it to leave in a local lay-by.

Any idea how long I can legally keep it there? If needs be I will move it everyday but would prefer not to.

Before the do-gooders start, the lay-by is massive and never has any cars parked in it.

From experience: you can leave it there for about a week before the council tow it away and send you a huge bill.

Hope that helps.

Truth be told, I don't know, because although it was for a company I worked for, it wasn't my direct business.

Apparently about 2 years where I live without any noticeable damage.

Surely depends on the area though, I wouldn't fancy my chances of coming back to it in the same condition!

Why do you ask?

Thinking of something like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Advertising-Truck-Van-Traile...

I would move it around the area (different layby's!). Bang for buck it has to one of the best advertising methods.

I am also looking at getting a blimp, who can tell me which blimp flies over High Wycombe, you can see it from the M40 and I always remember the company. Great advertising.
