Well i'm completely made up, yesterday i put down my money for a MY07 Z4MC and am now itching to drive it.

I cant quite beleive the journey as i orginally went in looking at a 318 touring but i cant help think although this is going to ruin me and i'll get to know Mr Shell personally least i'll have a grin on my face whilst doing it.

No real questions to ask at the moment as i've done so much reading either on here, z4-forum or on american forums i pretty much know what to expect.

First drive is going to be taking it to Liverpool from Edinburgh visiting friends so hopefully it'll provide to be far more comfy and roomy and less defening than my Elise.

Some pictures below.

Get some CSLs on it, I think they really suit the grey Z4MCs. I still miss mine frown

I had a look round this on Saturday while I was in Eastern trying to get rid of my Z4M Roadster!
Looks really nice, you'll love it and they arent that bad on fuel. You should manage 30mpg down to liverpool at a steady 80mph. Once you get on the back roads it'll be a different story! just remember and keep the DSC on in the wet as it'll bite!

Love mine... The German TVR... Lots of character, keep it north of 4000rpm and it comes into its own - Likes to be driven as a sports coupe should thumbup

Good spot biggrin

Thanks for the very warm welcome.

I genuinely sat in the dealership and thought to myself... How much a month do you want me to give you for a 3 series..... Thanked Andrew walked down to Craig (M manager) and was pretty much sold instantly.

My insurance seems very understanding too (although doubled from what i paid for the elise) and have said i can put CSL wheels on it and a exhaust as long as it didn't increase the power (which lets be honest never gives much of a performance benefit).

I'm also going to put carbon vinyl wrap on the front bottom splitter seen on a few white Z4MC on the American forums. I'd also like to put a carbon wrap on the roof like the white Z4MC owner in the uk although then it'd be covering up one of the best bits which is the bubble roof lines?

LOL and so it begins... Coupe vs Roadster debate.

Saying that i was talking to some E46 M owners and they said if space wasn't a issue they'd go for a Z4MC in a heartbeat.

I've just hopped out of mine after a 25 mile late-night cross country b road jaunt with the roof down and the stereo off. I've had it about 8 months/10k miles and still love like i just got it last week.

ps; Feed it superunleaded and not the cheap stuff

I wouldn't use anything else.

My local Shell is really reasonable considering its centre of edinburgh.

So what i should expect from a tank 300 - 350 a tank?

I get about 280, which is 25mpg. I know it's supposed to have a 55 litre tank but i've never managed to get more than 49.something litres in it, despite driving it until it says "-- miles" left.

Blasting back tonight i got 18mpg, but did a motorway jaunt at the weekend and got 31mpg. Average over 10k miles is 25mpg and i do red line it on a regular basis smile

Thats fine, i'm expecting my commute will be 23 -25mpg, blasts will be 18 and motorway nearer 30 all round about 5 mpg less than i get at the moment.

Just out pof interest who are you insured with? I've been holding off on wheels and exhausts and whatnot to avoid insurance ripoffs
