Drive it day....evening roadtrip April 17th

The season is almost upon us! 2 weeks 'til the sun stays up an hour longer... a little longer after many have headed home on sunday evenings... So to celebrate, on National Drive-It day, is anyone else feeling the need for a gathering in motion to finish off the week? I'll get set on a route or ideas very soon; contributions welcome by PM or here. Thinking Dorset and nearest bits of Wiltshire & Hampshire...

c.100miles
start: Bournemouth area, leave 530pm
finish: west hampshire (before sunset @ 8pm??!)

5hrs, 200miles and 1/2 tank done today, searching out dorset/wilts best tarmac secrets...bored of driving now!... Many a steep hillclimb found, a tunnel on top of a hill too, stumbled upon Ritchie and x-Madonna's place + tons of the A1 long sweeping tarmac ribbon; not all with white dashes down the middle, but still safely useable!

Looking @ c.100miles and gmaps says it can be done in 3hrs...sure it can!....in a little less! Could be cut down, as, as i got a sniff of today, too much in one day might be a bit overkill! Some will know some of the roads, hopefully non will know them all (even me yet- still fiddling the final route).
Weather dependant (no go if soaking), start will be bournemouth area - leave 530pm, finish: west hampshire.

Just come back from a quick spin in the F355 - forgotten how loud it is, my ears are still ringing

This will be our first hoon of the season - need to enjoy the car having just spent £4300 on a service

Miss Notax and I are pretty busy at the moment but we will get into Notax Hoon mode now the sun is here and start sending out our invites soon

In the meantime thanks to Peter for organising this drive out and look forward to seeing you all soon

Intending...it to be a leave-not-your-follower-behind run, with a few stops at/near the fuel stations on the route too as well as a group photo near a well known landmark.
