locking wheel nut has threaded
Discussion
My locking wheel nut has threaded on my alloy wheel, and I need to remove it. Now the locking nut attachment just won't grab the nut in the wheel so I can get any movement behind it.
Anyone know any other methods or tools to remove it besides what my local garage said 'welding a nut onto it'.
thanks

what type of locking wheelnut? a free spinning one?Anyone know any other methods or tools to remove it besides what my local garage said 'welding a nut onto it'.

if no free spinning, then you can get locking wheelnut removers on ebay for dirt cheap. most garages shold have something to do this
Totally rounded the pattern or is it catching a bit?
I rounded my old ones so that I couldn't get enough torque on it without it slipping but it still caught a bit.
Local tyre place was able to use the air gun to shock it a bit to crack it then he managed to catch it enough with the locking nut key to get it off.
