Noticed the last few nights I have been driving that the pod light surround has been going off.

The I either pressed the clutch / indicator stalk and it come back on again???

The LED's showing the oil temp, press, fuel gauge etc were all working. It was the lights that light up the speedo and rev needle that went off.

Should I be worried? Ideas on what the problem is?

I would remove the 2 bolts that hold the dash pod in and check the connectors are fully engaged at both ends on the back of the clocks and at the ECU in the footwell. might be a loose connection?

Thanks, I'll check it out at the weekend.

Is this something that I should be worried about ie could this potential cause the car to cut out?

No, nothing to worry about, I suppose the worse that it could be is a problem with power to the pod?
