Possible gearbox whine when cold

I've noticed durIng the last couple of drives what can only be described as a high pitch whine during acceleration. The whine increases inline with the revs but seems to die down once the car is up to running temperature. Any thoughts?

Get you diff levels check, asap.

See the thread about possible gear release bearing. The noise sounds similar. Suggestion is that it could also be a prop shaft bearing.
