Have a look on my forum history as I asked the same question about the touring recently.

Can't post the link as on mobile site.

Had a 55 plate for 2 years. Only sold it recently cos i wasnt using it much.Lovely competent sure-footed car, engine is a dream ,ride excellent, brilliant winter car, only downside was 20 mpg local and 25 on a decent run. Highly recommended if you want a big saloon

Can only add that a family friend has one and loves it! Had a forester before it.

Superb winter car. Comfortable, quiet, although makes a nice noise when booted. Reliable so far and bought with this expectation. Feels faster than the 0-60 suggests.

31mpg at 80mph indicated cruise control. 25mpg mixed use. 18mpg if you boot it everywhere.

Gearbox is a bit ponderous, but I prefer it to a manual.

Trade off for the comfortable ride is a fair bit of body roll, but it hangs on and is great fun.

Brakes seem a bit fragile, the inner sides of both of my front discs have a lip part way across them when overall they and the pads are not that worn, so awaiting replacements, need to judge when replaced.

It covers ground in good conditions much like my wife's Mk V GTI but rolls more and the brakes feel less strong. At cruise and in poor conditions it excels.
