This is my Morris Mini moneypit. I bought it when i was 16, hoping to have it on the road by my 17th birthday but almost 2 years later it is actually finished! When she was delivered the front and rear floor pans had completely rusted through, the bootfloor had rusted through and was held in with body filler, most of the panels had a rust hole or two in them and she was generally a mess. But after many many hours of hard work she finally looks like this smile

This is what it looked like after a good wash about an hour after she was delivered. Notice the remains of the outer sill hanging down..

Unfortunately i didn't take that many pictures during the restoration. Heres a few i've rooted out though:

Floor pans in place

Boot floor in the middle of repair

Gravitex Stone chip paint as the base layer

In primer

Tucked up next to the cerb whilst having the suspension sorted

And heres a few more from when i bought it

The great thing about this is that it's one of those cool first cars you can keep forever, unlike a 1.1 Saxo or Corsa. I often regret not having a classic as my first car.

Fantastic. The colour really suits it. Is the battery box in the boot area a standard fitment, or did you fabricate it?

Great-looking Mini and it looks like a good restoration job. I'm envious.
