I need to park on the outskirts of London for 3 days, Gerrards Cross looks like a good place as the train can take me straight to my destination (South Ruislip).

Does anyone know if the station car park is a safe place to leave your car for 3 days, will I get a space?

South Ruislip is the outskirts of London...

Gerrards Cross is an upmarket commuter belt town in Buckinghamshire (with a Slough postcode and phone code).

Why don't you drive and park in Ruislip? It's hardly Tower Hamlets!

And about 20 minutes apart by road, less in you are already on the M40/A40.

Can you actually buy a ticket and park for more than 24hrs at GX station ? Arriving weekday post commuter rush would probably result in it being full too. S Ruislip is also not a stop for many trains ex GX, meaning you may need to change at W Ruislip.........

Parking opportunities in South Ruislip here and you'll see how close GX & S Ruislip are.

GX is thought to have the hardest gang in S Buckinghamshire. They recently gave the Knightsbridge hoodies a good ragging. Are you sure you want to leave your car on such mean streets.

Don't let the Prestwood Possie or the Missenden Madmen hear you say that let alone the Hazlemere Hardnuts.

Plenty of on-street parking in Gerrards Cross if you go a few blocks away from the station. I think any visiting car thieves in the area will be more interested in Range Rover Sports and Porsches being left unattended by the lady of the house than a normal car.

TBH I have no idea about the GX area, I was not aware it was upmarket smile

I was only looking here as I know they have a few 24hr car parks.

I said S Bucks not Chiltern, which I understand were debagged by Beaconsfield last week, which I understand resulted in a whole pile of Rolex watches needing repair.
